“Happy Gilmore” has been all the rage on social media today and for good reason.
Adam Sandler’s huge one-hit wonder turns 25 (can you believe it?!) and to mark the occasion, Sandler managed to sneak out on course to reminisce about his famous tour championship victory against Shooter McGavin. And by reminisce we mean, well, “rub in”.
While not quite looking match fit to win his grandmother’s house for a second time, a scruffy-looking Gilmore appears to have not lost any of his amazing hand-eye coordination in “retirement”, pulling off that famous run-up drive with aplomb, before hitting his arch-rival with a scorching sledge for good measure. Check it out:
Twenty-five years later, Happy's still got it. 😂

“….And I’m not lying to you, that is SMAAAASSHHHEEDD!”
It did sound awesome. With shots like that, maybe it’s not too late for a sequel? These two could seriously duke it out on the ninth green on the seniors tour…
UPDATE: Shooter McGavin has responded to Happy!!!!!
You going to call Shooter out? @ me next time Gilmore. No way that drive was straight either. Probably gave another innocent bystander a concussion. Loser. https://t.co/hNj9UjaKgp

Loving grandson? That deadbeat Gilmore didn’t even have a job and couldn’t even house the person who helped raise him. I treated Grandma way better than Happy ever did. Even offered Grandma a maid position. People forget that. https://t.co/jfrCMqKGqF
