Ben Kohles recorded the first-ever hole-in-one in the inaugural Black Desert Championship overnight, Australian time. We’re still trying to figure out how J.J. Spaun didn’t match him.
Kohles aced the 119-metre 17th hole at Black Desert Resort in his opening round, spinning back a wedge that rattled off the flagstick and in. Have a look:
151 yards ➡️ IN!
One of the first highlights from @BDChampionship is the event's first-ever ace AND first-career ace from @Ben_Kohles!

Nicely done, Ben. And a couple of hours later, Spaun appeared like he would do the same thing. Instead, somehow, his golf ball lipped out. You might want to look away if you’re a member of Spaun’s family or playing him in your fantasy line-up this week:

That hurts. Seriously, that ball was curling and creeping towards the hole. How did this not drop?
Ouch. Anyway, Spaun had to settle for a tap-in birdie. And on the bright side, that saved him a few bucks at the clubhouse bar afterwards.
