Haotong Li was feeling all the pressure of trying to close out a golf tournament on Sunday. And he wasn’t afraid to let everyone know.

As Li prepared to hit his approach shot on the 15th hole of the final round at the Qatar Masters, his caddie told someone watching to “stand back” and “stand still,” causing the golfer to have to reset. Li wasn’t mad or frustrated by the situation. Instead, he took a couple more practice swings and flashed a big smile before looking over toward the culprit and saying, “I’m quite nervous too!” Hey, sometimes, you just have to laugh. Anyway, check out the funny exchange and admission:

Amazing. Again, we all know these guys are humans and they feel nerves, but you usually don’t hear someone say that in the heat of the moment like that. Li wound up bogeying the hole as his lead slipped away, but he responded by birdieing two of the final three holes to win his fourth career DP World Tour title and his first victory since 2022.

In case you’re not aware, Li has had an up-and-down career that included a rough bout of the driver yips. So much so that he contemplated retiring a few years ago.

But the 29-year-old seems back on track now. And you gotta love to see—and hear—it.
