On the heels of watching Rory McIlroy make golf history on Sunday, golf fans got news on Tuesday that another one of the game’s legends is making a return. Club Pro Guy is back. And C-flight club championships all around the country will be better for it.

CPG announced his comeback with a video narrated by Jon Hamm (Big time!). And then he announced the creation of his new paywall site. But with his return also came a never-before-seen video. And it’s one that could have changed golf history.

According to Alan Shipnuck, who did a funny Q&A with CPG for Skratch, Zach Johnson had CPG put together a video to show Team USA before the 2023 Ryder Cup. This arguably would have been the best strategic move any Ryder Cup captain has ever made—except, for some reason, Johnson decided not to show it to his squad.

Who knows how different things would have played out in Rome that week. What we do know is Europe beat the Americans 16.5-11.5. And that the video in question is hysterical. Have a watch for yourself:

What a tour de force from CPG. So much gold in there! From the digs at everyone on Team USA to the random dagger at Brett Wetterich to the “Why the f— did you get married?” pod suggestion to Xander’s rough promo, that video is chock full.

It makes you wonder why ZJ didn’t show it to his team. Forget about any of his much-debated captain’s picks or lineups, this was his biggest miss. By far.
