We haven’t heard much from K.J. Choi on the course in recent years, but boy, do we wish we could hear more of him off it. You see, not only is the eight-time US PGA Tour winner a great golfer, but he’s also got a tremendous set of pipes. And yesterday, we got a small taste of his silky-smooth voice that has some people (us) dubbing him the Frank Sinatra of South Korea. Have a listen:
What a gift. Is there a “South Korea’s Got Talent” show?
Strong stuff. And we like how he uses a golf tee as a microphone. Of course, we have no clue what Choi is crooning about, but he sounds fantastic. And we know he’s in a great mood with the US Tour playing its first official tournament in Choi’s native South Korea this week, the CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges.
Choi is in the CJ Cup’s 78-man field that will be vying for a whopping $US9.25 million purse. And because there’s no cut, he’ll be there all week. Hopefully, he’s also taking requests.
