Padraig Harrington has been in the wars lately, which perhaps explains his latest swing change.
An inveterate swing tinkerer, the three-time Major winner turned heads during the first round of the Irish Open overnight for his Gary Player-esque (or, if you will, Happy Gilmore-esque) walk-on follow through to culminate his swing.
As the 45-year-old Irishman explained, it’s in an effort to get his right side to fully release, “because I’m not as young as the other guys”.
