First thing I want to do is apologize to the young people who will have to explain to their elders what the hell is even going on right now. I’m going to do my best to explain.

Last month, a 26-year-old woman named Megan Boni created an innocent TikTok video that soon went mega-viral. In the clip, Boni (@girl_on_couch on TikTok), in a strange voice, says that she’s “looking for a man in finance. Trust fund. 6’5. Blue eyes.” In the caption, she asks if someone could “make this into an actual song plz just for funzies.” The original video can be viewed here.

Naturally, someone did make it into a song, and it’s become quite the banger on TikTok. And by banger we mean the latest viral TikTok trend, the type the entire app then makes their own little video out of. It has now taken on a life of its own, reaching a point where legitimate news sites are writing thinkpieces on young women having too high of expectations for their future husbands. Meanwhile, Boni herself has stated she was just making a joke. Wild times we live in.

Anyway, how on EARTH does this relate to golf and the U.S. Open? Well, Jena Sims made her own golf version of the video trend on Thursday following her husband Brooks Koepka’s solid opening-round 70 at Pinehurst No. 2. Instead of “finance,” “trust fund,” and “blue eyes,” however, Sims chose “tight pants,” “fairways,” and “short game” as her preferences. I expect my Pulitzer in the mail shortly:

@jenamsims A man in fairways… #lookingforamaninfinancemix #imlookingforamaninfiance #maninfinance #golfwife #usopengolf #pinehurst2 ♬ Looking for a man tima remix – Tima Pages

Already up to 10,000 views and counting. TikTok star, wife and now mother. Jena can do it all.
