Joel Dahmen will not be in Texas this week for the PGA Tour’s Vivint Houston Open, but his caddie almost was. Thanks to… Joel Dahmen.
That’s because the 32-year-old PGA Tour pro pulled one of the cruellest pranks imaginable on caddie Geno Bonnalie, throwing his looper for a real loop. Check out this hilarious Twitter thread from Geno. Well, hilarious for us. For Geno, it must have been pretty maddening.

“I thought we weren’t playing!?”
J: “I decided Friday afternoon that I wanted to play and committed late. It’ll reflect in the field list on Monday”

“What are you doing?”“Packing. My flight leaves early tomorrow”
J: “why are you packing?”
“Cause I’m going to Houston!”(Very confused)

Wow. It’s a good thing this pair has a great working relationship or that would have been grounds for parting ways. At least, Dahmen didn’t let him go through with it. Although, we hear Houston is pretty nice this time of year.
There’s never a dull moment between these guys. Bonnalie once created a fake movie teaser about his boss and went viral with a terrific review of his not-so-terrific motel room for the US Open. Dahmen is one of the tour’s greatest talkers and recently channelled Russell Crowe’s “Gladiator” character by screaming, “ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!” after a made putt.
