Jordan Spieth continues to deliver to the content gods on a daily basis. This version of “what will Jordan do next” came during the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational when Spieth blew his tee shot way left on the par-5 16th hole.
“Get down,” Spieth begged. Then once it landed he asked, “it’s gotta be in, right?”
It was, but only just barely. His ball was only a foot inside a mesh fence guarding out-of-bounds, so he took an iron and turned it around so he could hit his second shot left-handed. He advanced it 72 feet, according to ShotLink.

“That was best case, you know,” he said to caddie Michael Greller.
His third shot was a hacked wedge from thick rough back out to the fairway. From 98 yards he hit another wedge onto the green and begged it again to “stay there, stop, stop, stop, stop moving”.
It did, winding up seven feet below the cup. Spieth calmly rolled in the putt to save par, picked the ball out of the hole and backflipped it into the water guarding the green.
Spieth shot 69-74-77-69 to finish with a one-over-par total.
