There may be a 44-year gap between them, but Australia’s Nadene Gole and Vietnam’s Bao Chau Nguyen share a common aim in proving that age is no barrier in golf at the seventh edition of the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship this week.
Gole, 56, in the midst of a stellar 2024 that includes six earlier victories, one of them in the R&A Women’s Senior Amateur, defeated Canadian Shelly Stouffer, 3&2.
