Victorian Phoenix Campbell has become the first player in 26 years to win the Queensland PGA Championship in successive years in a pulsating final round at Nudgee Golf Club in Brisbane.
In a dramatic final day at Mandurah Country Club, Elvis Smylie claimed his first Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia win at the Bowra & O’Dea Nexus Advisernet WA Open in its 100th year and remarkable conditions.
Although they weren’t quite able to make it into the top three on the Order of Merit to earn a DP World Tour card, there were plenty of players on the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia who definitely trended in the right direction in season 2023-2024.
It was all about Matt Griffin this week, as the Victorian opened with an incredible 11-under 61 and never looked back on his way to hoisting the trophy at this year’s Heritage Classic.
