Ridiculously good left-handed shot from Billy Horschel leads to ridiculous birdie

Billy Horschel, the lefty. Turns out the right-hander can hit a mean left-handed shot, as evidenced by a stellar wedge shot early during the final round of the Valspar Championship.

The 38-year-old was playing the par-5 fifth hole when his second shot sailed a little left and was close to a tree just off the left side of the fairway. The ball wasn’t up against the tree, but was close enough to where Horschel didn’t feel like he had a good enough chance to hit it right-handed. So he turned the club around and from 116 metres away, executed a beautiful left-handed swing that advanced the ball onto the front of the green, 30 feet short of the pin. So the shot went 107 metres.

Of course, Horschel then casually rolled in the birdie putt, the ball looking like it was either going to miss left or end up short. It did neither and he walked away with a 4 at Innisbrook’s Copperhead course.
