Rickie Fowler has brought new meaning to the phrase “hunting for birdies” on Thursday at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
The popular tour pro has never been afraid to make a style statement, like the time he wore knickers while playing in a major championship. Not to mention his famous all-orange Sunday look, which he still rocks from time to time. As for FULL camoflauge, as if he were ready to foray into the woods and shoot some deer, that’s a look Fowler has never sported. Until Thursday at TPC Scottsdale.

Fowler’s good pal, NBC on-course analyst Smylie Kaufman, snapped this photo of him on the putting green before his round:
Bold decision to just wear shoes and sunglasses today Rick! 🙈 pic.twitter.com/vlG2wGKIcK

As Jason Day and Malbon have proven time and time again since partnering up, no press is bad press. If the goal is to get people all riled up and talking about the product, then Malbon and Day are exceeding expectations. Would imagine that’s exactly what Puma had in mind with this fit, too. And this is only Day 1. There is another, tamer look coming on Friday as well, as our Keely Levins reported earlier this week.Â
The people are definitely riled up on this one:
I just spit my drink out

Is there a paint ball event after his round?

It's hideous but it's better than Jason Day's sweatsuit.

After seeing this, now we all owe an apology to Jason Day and @MalbonGolf lol…

What exactly am I looking at in this picture? All I see is a green with some guys putting

That, of course, is just a small, safe-for-work sampling of the reviews, which, believe it or not, are mixed. Just as Fowler and Puma intended them to be.Â
