It has been reported by James Corrigan at the Telegraph that Tyrrell Hatton has joined LIV Golf at the very last minute with the start of the 2024 season just days away.
Hatton, who just over a week ago told media at Emirates Golf Club he was staying with the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, has inked a $50 million deal with the Saudi-backed league, according to the report.
Adding to the mystery, the Englishman was announced in the field for the PGA Tour’s WM Phoenix Open to be played February 8-11, the week of LIV Golf’s second event in Las Vegas.
Hatton has 12 worldwide wins including at Bay Hill, and was part of the victorious Ryder Cup side in Rome.
Although not yet officially confirmed by the league, LIV Golf’s 2024 lineups are now complete and LIV Mayakoba will have 13 teams with 54 players – 2 as individuals.
