Golf fans may wonder why Jim Furyk and Mike Weir each need a foursome of assistant captains at this week’s Presidents Cup, but at least one of those men, Kevin Kisner, stayed pretty busy on Thursday.

In addition to his normal duties, the four-time PGA Tour winner had words with International assistant captain Camilo Villegas about Tom Kim and Sungjae Im walking off the eighth green early (It looked like Kevin and Camilo made nice after) in their match with Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley. Oh, and then there was the live-tweeting.

As Day 1 at Royal Montreal unfolded, Kisner provided a prediction about his fellow Georgia Bulldog, Henley:

He took a shot at the home crowd:

He took a shot at one of his pals:

And he bragged about being right about Henley, who wound up winning that four-ball match with Scheffler:

Talk about giving fans an inside-the-ropes perspective! Keep ’em coming, Kiz!

PGA Tour pros aren’t allowed to tweet during a tournament round, but we’re assuming it’s OK for Presidents Cup captains. That being said, Team USA being slapped with some sort of social media penalty might be the only thing that will make this event competitive come Sunday.
