Ping is set to release a line of new clubs, called the G400 range. The line comprises a new driver, fairway woods, hybrids, Crossovers and irons:

Ping G400 driver (above)
The new G400 driver’s multi-material design combines drag-reducing technology with a speed-inducing forged face and MOI-raising tungsten sole weight to deliver longer drives and fairway-finding forgiveness. Already in the bags of multiple tour stars including Bubba Watson, Lee Westwood, Miguel Angel Jimenez and David Lingmerth, the G400 driver’s streamlined design combines with bolder turbulators and Vortec Technology to advance aerodynamics (15 percent less drag) for more clubhead speed. Engineered to increase face flexing (6 percent thinner, 16 percent more flexing) and deliver a powerful sound and feel, the forged face is precision-machined to produce hotter ball speeds for more distance across the entire face. With a combined MOI above 9,000 and the deepest CG location in golf, it elevates stability and forgiveness to Ping’s highest levels ever. Throw in an ultra-thin crown and skirt produce weight savings to increase MOI and optimise CG location, and an internal rib structure tuned for powerful sound and feel, and the G400 driver is the complete package. The premium copper shaft paint transitions to black as you address the ball, while the counter-balance design of the Alta CB allows for more mass in head to increase energy transfer. Standard version available in 9⁰ and 10.5⁰ lofts. LST (Low Spin) available in 8.5⁰ and 10⁰ lofts. SFT (Straight Flight) available in 10⁰ and 12⁰ lofts. RRP: $619

Ping G400 fairway wood
The G400 fairway’s ball speed and stopping power comes from an innovative maraging steel face that flexes 30 percent more than any previous design – making it Ping’s hottest, highest launching fairway wood ever. A low lead edge and new, bolder turbulators elevate your ball flight and confidence from any distance. One of strongest and most flexible alloys in the world, maraging steel is an ideal face material to deliver faster ball speeds that launch shots farther, higher and straighter. The club’s cascading sole engages at impact to increase face flexing for higher launch, while the ultra-thin 17-4 SS crown is cast to 0.48mm for weight savings to increase MOI and optimise CG location. Available: 3 (14.5⁰), 5 (17.5⁰), 7 (20.5⁰) and 9 wood (23.5⁰). SFT (Straight Flight) options: 3 (16⁰), 5 (19⁰) and 7 (22⁰) woods. Stretch 3-wood (13⁰). RRP: $429

G400 hybrid
The club is an ideal option when gapping your set for mid-to-long distance shots. The G400 hybrids combine maraging steel faces with CG optimisation to deliver more distance and forgiveness. Hotter ball speeds launch shots higher and farther while internal weighting keeps your ball flight on line and under control. Available: 2 (17⁰), 3 (19⁰), 4 (22⁰), 5 (26⁰) and 6 (30⁰) hybrids. RRP: $369

G400 Crossover
The precision, workability and control of an iron combined with the ball speed and forgiveness of a hybrid make the G400 Crossover a high-performance and versatile option for golfers of all skill levels. The maraging steel face delivers faster ball speeds and higher launch to produce 30 percent more stopping power. The addition of a tungsten toe weight increases forgiveness resulting in 17 percent tighter dispersion. Turf interaction is greatly improved with a thinner sole. Iron-like gearing – forward CG placement creates 45 percent less shot bend and 40 percent more spin – gives golfers more control and predictability, while a Hydropearl chrome finish produces 40 percent less friction to improve launch and spin in wet conditions and rough. Available: 3 (19⁰), 4 (22⁰) and 5 (25⁰). RRP: $369

G400 irons
The new G400 irons boast face-flexing technology that launches the ball faster and higher so you’ll enjoy more distance with the stopping power and feel to hit approach shots closer than ever. Imagine hitting one less club to the green with the height of two less clubs – giving you tour player-type performance with the forgiveness you need to find the putting surface more often. COR-Eye Technology produces faster ball speeds that results in distance gains and more shot height for stopping power. A Toprail Undercut Cavity combines with COR-Eye Technology to amplify and expand face flexing (18 percent more) to increase ball speed and launch the ball higher, while Hyper 17-4 Stainless Steel increases strength by 40 percent for a thinner face. A full cavity badge improves sound and feel, while a larger Custom Tuning Port saves weight for expanded perimeter weighting and elastomer insert fine-tunes swingweight. The G400 irons produce 40 percent less friction through the turf, improving launch and spin in wet conditions and rough. RRP: $189 (steel); $209 (graphite)
