Michael Kim has become a must-follow on Golf Twitter/X with his PGA Tour tales, swing advice, and other great—and fun—insights. But earlier this week he offered his followers something even better: free golf lessons.
That’s right, free golf lessons from a PGA Tour winner. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, there was just one catch. They would have to take place at an airport. In Istanbul.
Apparently, the 30-year-old was doing some Thanksgiving travel involving Turkey (get it?) when he noticed a golf simulator in the Turkish Airlines lounge. That’s when the 2018 John Deere Classic winner put the word out.
If any of my followers are in the Turkish airline lounge in Istanbul, I’ll give you a lesson until my flight 😂
Don’t think I’ve ever seen screen golf at an airport. pic.twitter.com/tMMpMK0P9I

What a cool idea. And that seems like a fun airport! But you had to act fast! (Again, in addition to being in Istanbul.) And, sadly, no one was able to take Michael up on his kind offer.
Would have been fantastic content but unfortunately, I had to catch my flight

It would also have been fantastic for any weekend hacker’s game. Oh well, better luck next time. Safe travels, Michael.
