So you wanna be a PGA Tour pro, huh? First, obviously, you have to be off-the-charts great at golf. But you also have to be pretty good at coping with travel.
As Michael Kim detailed last year, getting around to all those tournaments really adds up. However, the hectic schedule can also be very stressful. And for the latest example of that, we turn to Dylan Wu.
Wu finished 132nd on the FedEx Cup Fall list in 2024, which means he has only conditional PGA Tour status for 2025. And that adds a whole other layer to this nomadic lifestyle. As Ryan French (a.k.a. Monday Q Info on X/Twitter) pointed out, this past week has been a particularly wild journey for the 28-year-old.
This is the grind (and would make for a good episode of Full Swing in my biased opinion) @dylan_wu59 has conditional tour status. He went to Hawaii Monday and missed by 1.
He flew home to Scottsdale, then flew to Bahamas for KFT
Thought he missed the cut but snuck in on…

Sheesh! That’s a lot of effort. And again, as an alternate, Wu wasn’t even guaranteed to play in this week’s American Express tournament even after hustling to get to Palm Springs, California (he ultimately didn’t make the starting field).

We see what you did there, Dylan, with that song choice. Gotta have good vibes. Dylan also added this about his crazy travel schedule:
Embrace the grind! Lots of time to karaoke in the car haha. Sleep is overrated! https://t.co/wslUqYBNIv

Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. Well said, Dylan.
