In one of the biggest moments of Thursday night’s NFL Draft, the New York Giants traded for the 25th pick to take Jaxson Dart. After the mostly disastrous Daniel Jones Era, the team hopes to have finally found a long-term solution at quarterback to follow in the footsteps of another Ole Miss prospect, Eli Manning.
And while Dart still has plenty to prove on the football field, he’s already ELITE in one area: ball speed.

No, we’re not talking about his arm, although the kid can sling it. But Dart can absolutely crush a golf ball as well. And ahead of the Senior Bowl in January, the QB set a pair of records on a trip to the Mobile (Ala.) Topgolf. Have a look:
Jaxson Dart with Mobile @Topgolf records for driving distance (336 yards) & ball speed (203 mph) at today's @seniorbowl practice player awards party.

A 336-yard poke?! Ball speed of 203 miles per hour?! That’s beyond impressive. If this whole NFL thing doesn’t work out, Dart could have a future in Long Driving.
Dart also appears to have played golf on Draft Day:
As a Giants fan, I love his name (Dart!), I love his college #tape and I love the fact that he loves golf. All the top QBs do, including reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen. And Eli is now an Augusta National member.
Anyway, for the first time in a long time, Giants fans can feel optimistic about the future. Especially if a gridiron golf skills competition ever breaks out.
