New South Wales Hunter Valley hotspot Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club will celebrate its 25th anniversary this year with a refreshed look.
A complete bunker restoration is underway to the tune of $1 million, one of the final elements of a course-wide renovation to bring the par-72, 18-hole championship course back into the limelight and en route to reclaiming a position inside Australian Golf Digest’s Top 100 Courses ranking. The 16-week restoration project is on track to be completed by mid-June, and will see 5,000 tonnes of bright, white, USGA bunker sand brought in to help revitalise the course, just in time for that winter weekend away.
