If you ever needed confirmation on why caddies should just stick to carrying clubs and not use them, this is it.
Starting this week’s LIV Golf event at Greenbrier on a lighter note, the boys from the all-Australian Ripper GC team switched roles with their loopers for a “Caddie Comp”. Not surprisingly, there were plenty of shenanigans mixed with the odd impressive shot.
There were also some all-time blunders, like this attempted hook out of the rough by Cam Smith’s caddie Sam Pinfold. He obviously didn’t get Cam’s memo on “hook”. Take a look:
Oh dear…
FORE RIGHT! That was some shank from one of the more reliable bagmen in world golf. Maybe stick to your day job, Pinna! Cam’s got it from here.
Marc Leishman’s caddie Matty Kelly had a bit more luck executing a shot under pressure when he smashed a DRIVER OFF THE DECK(!) in front of his golf hero, LIV Golf commissioner Greg Norman. Talk about clutch:
Lucas Herbert’s caddie Nick Pugh couldn’t back it up in front of the world’s greatest-ever driver of the ball. But you can’t knock Pughey’s confidence in the build up:
How about the Shark’s swing analysis at the end. Interesting observation!
Anyway, these guys don’t look like they’re too unhappy with things on the LIV Golf circuit. Here’s a quick highlights package of their day:
