We’re coming down to one of the final few events of the pro golf calendar year, the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. It’s the second-to-last chance for PGA Tour pros around FedEx Cup top 125 bubble to secure tour cards. Players who finish between 51-60 in the rankings will also lock up tee times at two early signature events in 2025 (the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational). What we’re trying to say is that there’s a lot to play for.
Camilo Villegas will look to repeat at Port Royal Golf Course after an emotional victory a year ago. It was his first win since he lost his 22-month-old daughter, Mia, to brain cancer back in 2020, and it came a week after finishing runner-up at the World Wide Technology Championship. Villegas went 24 under featuring two birdies over his final four holes to win by two shots over 54-hole leader Alex Noren.
Every player in the hunt for the top 125—from Nos. 118-135—is in the field this week from Zac Blair to Sam Ryder. Hayden Springer is currently in at exactly No. 125. Mackenzie Hughes, Kevin Kisner and Brandt Snedeker are all in the field as well, along with YouTuber George Bryan IV and brother Wesley Bryan.
This week’s winner will receive a $1.242 million cut of the $6.9 million purse.
Golf Channel will carry live coverage on Thursday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m. EST, Saturday from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
