Well, that didn’t take long. We’re just days into 2024 and some of the world’s best players were serving up some majorly cool (and stylish) looks in Hawaii for The Sentry.Great fashion to go with the incredible island views? Count us in. The golf fashion world has been in shambles with the Tiger and Nike “break up”, but with Jason Day (a former Nike Golf ambassador) sporting Malbon Golf now, the golf style world is starting to recover and be open to some new looks on tour. While the Aussie, and his loose fitting sleeves and pants, made headlines all week long, here are a few more looks from Maui we’re still thinking about.
Viktor Hovland 
Never afraid to make a splash style-wise, Viktor Hovland’s scripting was bold, tropical and pushing all the right golf fashion boundaries to kick off the new year. He’s worn side-striped pants in previous events, but expect to see this trend more and more in golf this year. It’s a fun way to add a modern and athletic upgrade to traditional golf pants. We also love how Hovland shows multiple iterations of prints—from full printed tropical polos to hits of pattern on a simple white golf shirt—to demonstrate the variety of ways you can show some personality on the golf course, depending on how much a statement you want to make.
Michael Reaves
While Hovland’s tournament looks were strong, as usual, we also loved his more causal, down-to-earth Pro-Am ‘fit. With short and an untucked shirt, both in solid, pattern-less colors, it was a refreshingly simple look from a player we’ve gotten used to seeing push style boundaries to new heights.
Xander Shauffele

Day isn’t the only pro debuting a new look at Kapalua. Xander Shauffele’s new look is a little more Euro-inspired with three monochromatic looks leading up to a neutral final-round ensemble. His Sunday white pant and black shirt with a tan constrasting collar was the highlight of the week. Descente was started as a skiwear brand, as identfied by the three-arrow logo that’s a nod to three skiing techniques—schuss, traverse and sidelip. We’re not sure if the San Diego native is a skier or not, but the brand has been expanding recently into golf and currently also outfits Danielle Kang and Danny Willet.
Jason Day 
Jason’s Day new look has certainly brought out the style critic in every golf fan, but we’re excited to see Day try out some new looks. He’s been scripted by ultra-athletic brands since he turned pro, so he deserves a runway with his new fashion-forward sponsor, Malbon. Golf fans have become accustom to a golf uniform of simple navy tailored pants and white golf shirts, and thats exactly what Malbon is trying to mix up. Day’s fit was certainly a little more baggy (and if you pay attention to the off-course fashion world, this is what is “in” style-wise), but he still kept it relatively simple with a navy, black, white and beige color pallete through the week. He incorporated a few pops of green and lighter blues to add some appeal—a great start to his new partnership and we’re looking forward to seeing him find his stride with new fashion-forward looks this season.
Si Woo Kim

It’s not often when the pros look like us recreational golfers (playing-wise or fashion-wise), but during practice rounds they get to let their hair down (figuratively, of course) and forego the formidable pants attire for shorts. So when in Maui, you get to be a little more laid back. Si Woo Kim saw an opportunity and he took it! His green Hawaiian micro-printed polo paired with navy shorts made for the perfect chilled, on-course look.
More Tropical Looks We Loved 
Players seemingly adjusted to island time quite well, which was quite apparent in their fashion choices this week, especially during the second round. Friday’s round brought out a myriad of tropical floral looks — from vibrant accessories to unmissable macro-printed polos — the Kapalua views had some competition this time around.
