As the tweet below notes, at the time Patrick Reed and Jordan Spieth had combined for just one victory on the US PGA Tour – Spieth’s debut win at the John Deere Classic a month earlier.
Now, the pair have 16 (Spieth’s 11 and Reed’s five), including Spieth’s three Major titles.
But it was Reed who started faster in the head-to-head stakes, edging Spieth in a playoff at the 2013 edition of this weeks US Tour stop, the Wyndham Championship.
And Reed did so with a pure escape shot from what appeared to be grave trouble during their playoff:

Sadly, neither player is in the field this week at Sedgefield Country Club.
