It’s not even Thursday and we might already have a new fan favorite at the Players Championship. Who needs Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy or Jordan Spieth when you have Rob Gronkowski running around like a chicken with his head cut off trying out everything he can at TPC Sawgrass?
Despite it being Gronk’s “first time ever being on a professional golf course,” the four-time Super Bowl champion is caddying for Will Zalatoris, getting a private lesson from Jordan Spieth and drinking with sports personality Kay Adams. All on FanDuel’s dime too. We can’t say we’re not jealous.

MORE: Scottie Scheffler gets a “range tip” from Rory McIlroy at TPC Sawgrass
“I’m doing a couple things [at The Players]. I’m actually going to be caddying for Will Zalatoris for two holes and then I’ll be going to the driving range with Jordan Spieth as well,” a possibly “buzzed” Gronk said. “He’s going to be teaching me some new techniques. I’m just getting into golf recently.
“I was actually at Topgolf for my friend’s bachelor party two weeks ago and I took about 150 hacks that day. I’m starting to feel my rhythm. I’m starting to feel good about it, and if I get lessons from Jordan Spieth, I’m gonna be an all-pro in no time.”
In case you’re wondering, Gronk carrying clubs looks just as ridiculous as you might expect. It’s equivalent to one of us holding a pen.

Along with this “work,” Gronk ran into Shane Lowry, Rory McIlroy, Russell Henley and Si Woo Kim while wandering around TPC Sawgrass. He said that Lowry looked like Travis Kelce and asked Russell Henley what he did with his $4 million winnings at the Arnold Palmer Invitational (his answer: “a nice bottle of wine”).

Well, thanks for tuning in for our Rob Gronkowski Update of the Day. This may be the first and last iteration, but what a time it was.
