The “Happy Gilmore 2” news continues to trickle in, and it just keeps getting better and better for golf fans. From open casting calls to cameos like Travis Kelce and Bad Bunny to viral videos of Adam Sandler’s iconic character dragging a set golf clubs out of a house in a bathrobe, things are progressing nicely. And now we’ve learned we might not have to wait much longer for this long-awaited sequel.

That’s because John Daly confirmed that he’s making a cameo as well. And he also revealed that the movie is coming out on Netflix in March or April.

In a video with Outkick’s Mike Gunzelman, Daly is asked if Sandler reached out to him.

“I’ve already filmed it already, we’re going to get it done,” the two-time major champion responded. Then he gave a “Shh” sign and added: “It’s coming out on Netflix maybe in March or April of next year.”

Interesting. Christopher McDonald, a.k.a. Shooter McGavin, has already had to sign an NDA after talking too much. And now Daly might be next.

Anyway, on one hand, that’s amazing news. On the other, we don’t want them to rush this thing! Heck, we’ve already waited nearly three decades for a sequel. We can wait a little bit more. Anyway, thanks for the heads up, JD.
