Jon Rahm and drones apparently are incompatible, to wit his tee shot and reaction at the par-4 sixth hole at the Grove, site of LIV Golf’s tournament in Nashville.
Rahm was in second place, chasing Tyrrell Hatton, when his tee shot went straight left and into a pond, leading to a double-bogey 6 that temporarily dropped him four off the lead.
Watch and listen at your own risk:
“It’s f—–g incredible, right in my backswing,” he said before the ball had even splashed down. F—–g drones every time.”
He was standing in front LIV Golf signage that features its slogan, “Golf, But Louder.” Too loud, as it were, for those in the vicinity or watching the telecast.
At least Rahm followed with a birdie to cut his deficit to three.
